A different kind of mediation
Traditional mediation helps people talk. Holistic Mediation helps people communicate.

Conflict is rarely only about the words being spoken. Stress, emotion, past experiences and physical wellbeing all influence how we listen, react and respond.

Ian's approach considers the whole person. Professional mediation and restorative practice are supported by carefully selected wellbeing techniques, creating a calmer and safer environment in which people can be heard without judgement.

This is not legal mediation and no one is asked to prove that they are right. The purpose is to restore communication, improve relationships and create practical, sustainable ways forward.

Couples

Create space for honest conversation, reduce recurring conflict and rebuild mutual understanding.

Families

Navigate difficult dynamics and restore communication between family members in a neutral setting.

Parents & Teens

Help both generations feel heard, understood and better equipped to move forward together.

Individuals

Gain clarity, strengthen communication and turn uncertainty into purposeful action through mentoring.

The process

A simple, supported journey from tension to clarity.

Each journey begins with a free discovery call, followed by a structured five-session programme tailored to the people involved.

Step 01

Free discovery call

A private 30-minute conversation to understand the situation, identify the needs of those involved and agree the most appropriate next steps, including whether sessions will be online or in person.

Step 02

Five guided sessions

The programme alternates communication-led work with supportive wellbeing practices before bringing both elements together.

Session 1Mediation & communication
Session 2Meditation or wellbeing practice
Session 3Mediation & reflection
Session 4Wellbeing practice
Session 5Integration, agreements & moving forward
Step 03

Resolution & continuation

The final session reflects on the journey, identifies progress and consolidates any agreements, tools and new ways of communicating that can support long-term change.

Why wellbeing matters

Calmer people can have better conversations.

01

Reduced stress

Slowing the body and mind can reduce defensiveness and make it easier to listen.

02

Greater clarity

Mindfulness and reflection can help separate immediate emotion from what genuinely needs to change.

03

Healthier expression

Participants are supported to communicate honestly without judgement, blame or escalation.

04

Lasting change

The goal is not a temporary truce, but more constructive ways of communicating beyond the sessions.

Frequently asked questions

What you may want to know before beginning.

No. Holistic Mediation is not a legal mediation service and does not provide legal advice. It focuses on communication, relationships, personal wellbeing and mutually agreed ways forward.

Yes. The process is consensual and voluntary. Everyone taking part must agree to participate and engage as willingly as they are able.

Participants are asked to keep the process confidential. Confidentiality may only need to be addressed where Ian identifies a safeguarding concern or a risk of harm.

Many sessions can be delivered online. Some practices, including gong meditation, are only available in person. The most appropriate arrangement is discussed during the discovery call.

Ian manages the process, boundaries and risk throughout. A session may be paused or ended where necessary to protect participants and maintain a safe, respectful environment.

The Holistic Mediation programme costs £420 and is paid in advance through We Offer Wellness. The booking terms shown on the product page apply.
